Our pub produce mantra
Fish must be day-boat caught and reach
us 昀氀ippin’ fresh. Animals must be reared
ethically and their meat handled expertly.
Dairy produce must be made artisanally.
Fruit and veg must be grown seasonally
and naturally and picked really recently.
Martin Denny is a fanatical forager who scours
the woodlands and salt marshes of North Norfolk
for edible treasures. Having done what he loves for
over 20 years, he has an encyclopaedic knowledge
of local wildlife and plants. His wild garlic, found
on the Sandringham estate, features throughout
our menus during the summer months. Working
the sustainable way, Martin takes only the leaves
or parts of the plant he needs. We love you, Martin.
Our free-range, RSPCA-assured pork comes
from Dingley Dell, a third-generation family
business run by Mark and Paul Hayward.
Based on the east coast of Suffolk, they farm
the unique Suffolk Red breed and champion
animal welfare, 昀氀avour and sustainability.
They’re farmers after our own heart.
